MDJN Go Privacy Policy

MDJN Go (“the App”) is provided by the Mobile DJ Network (“MDJN”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App or the MDJN services it connects to. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Membership Data – When you log in, we retrieve your MDJN membership ID, status, and associated listings via our secure API. Authentication uses the same credentials as mdjn.uk; we never store your password.
Documents & Certificates – When you download PLI certificates or other PDFs, they are stored locally on your device for offline access, stored in app-protected storage and inaccessible to other apps. We do not upload these files.
Location Data – With your permission, we access GPS data to sort PAT testers and retailers near you. This data remains on your device unless needed for directory features.
Usage Metrics & Logs – We may capture crash reports, cache-clearing events, and API errors to diagnose issues. These logs exclude personal content.
Device Identifiers – Standard device information (e.g. OS version, model) is collected to ensure compatibility and security.
2. How We Use Your Information
Authenticate you as an MDJN member and authorise access to member-only content.
Display and cache your membership documents, listings, and directory results.
Provide geolocation-aware recommendations for PAT testers and retailers.
Diagnose connectivity problems (e.g. distinguishing between general internet outages and MDJN service downtime).
Improve the App’s reliability, security, and performance.
We never sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Data Storage & Security
Local Storage – Certificates and cached listings remain on your device. Use the in-app cache reset or uninstall the App to remove them. Membership documents stored on your device are protected by your device security settings and are not accessible by other apps.
MDJN Servers – Membership data is stored on mdjn.uk under MDJN’s website privacy policy. All traffic between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS.
Retention – Cached data expires when you manually clear it. Server-side records follow MDJN’s standard retention schedule.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We only share information when:
You direct us to (for example, sharing a PDF via your device’s share sheet).
We do not share any information from the MDJN GO app with any third party
Required by law, regulation, or to protect MDJN’s legal rights.
5. Your Choices & Rights
Clear cached data, revoke location permission, or log out at any time via the App.
Manage or delete your MDJN membership data by updating your profile at mdjn.uk or contacting support.
To access, rectify, or erase your personal data, email support@mdjn.co.uk with your membership details.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App targets adult MDJN members. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@mobiledjnetwork.co.uk and we will remove it.
7. International Transfers
MDJN operates in the UK. If you use the App from another country, your data may be transferred to and processed in the UK or other jurisdictions with different legal protections.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the App evolves. Updates will be posted on mdjn.uk/privacy and within the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Policy.

No payment or financial data is collected in-app
